START

When this box is connected to all of It’s modules, It’s able to regulate the atmosphere of any enclosed ecosystem.
It keeps track of:
- Temperature,
- Humidity
- Time.
And regulates:
- Misting intervals,
- Fogger,
- Ventilator,
- Lights,
- Relays.

THE IDEA
The idea for developing an automated terrarium control system originated from the challenges associated with maintaining a terrarium and poison dart frogs.
They require precise environmental conditions to thrive, and managing these conditions manually can be time-consuming and restrictive, particularly for those with busy schedules.
Recognizing these difficulties, the automated terrarium control system was conceived and developed to optimize the control processes.
More
The box has been designed to track essential environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and time.
By continuously monitoring these factors, the system ensures that the terrarium’s conditions remain within optimal ranges for the wildlife.
This addresses the need for a reliable and efficient method to manage terrarium maintenance, freeing up valuable time.
The automated control system not only enhances the living conditions for the animals, but also provides peace of mind, knowing that enclosed ecosystem (terrarium) is in a stable environment.
By leveraging technology to automate these essential tasks, it represents a significant advancement in enclosed ecosystem care, offering both convenience and precision.

DESIGN

| GREEN | Mister |
| RED | Ventilator |
| BLUE | Temperature and Humidity sensors |
| PURPLE | Fogger |
The lighting is above the misters and ventilator.
The terrarium control system offers several automated features to maintain optimal conditions within the terrarium:
- Time and Date Management: The system has a built-in mechanism for keeping track of the current date and time, ensuring all scheduled activities are performed accurately.
- Environmental Monitoring: It monitors temperature and humidity levels inside the terrarium using two sensors. The system cross-references data from both sensors to ensure accurate readings.
- User Interface: The system uses LCD display that shows real-time temperature and humidity levels. The display has sections for both sensors, providing a clear view of the current conditions. It shows temperature and humidity for each sensor side-by-side, helping users easily monitor the environment.
- Lighting Control: The system automatically adjusts the lighting, turning it on at 6:00 AM and off at 9:30 PM, providing a consistent light cycle for the terrarium inhabitants.
- Ventilation Control: The system controls the ventilation based on temperature thresholds and specific times of the day.
If the average temperature exceeds 27°C, the ventilation system turns on.
Additionally, the ventilation system automatically turns on at 6:25 AM, 11:25 AM, and 5:25 PM for 30 minutes each time, ensuring proper air circulation before misting. - Misting System: The misting feature is automated to activate at 7:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 6:00 PM.
This helps maintain appropriate humidity levels within the terrarium. - Night Mode: The system has a night mode that disables all active controls from 11:00 PM to 5:30 AM, ensuring a quiet environment for the terrarium at night. During this period, all relays are turned off.
- Brightness Adjustment: The display brightness is automatically adjusted based on the time of day.
From 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the display is set to default brightness.
After 9:00 PM and before 6:00 AM, the brightness is reduced to avoid glare and save power. - Safety and Reliability: A built-in safety mechanism periodically resets the system to prevent freezes and ensure continuous operation.
Overall, the terrarium control system, can comprehend many more features.
It provides comprehensive automation for maintaining the optimal environment, ensuring the health and well-being of the terrarium’s inhabitants through precise control of lighting, ventilation, misting, and real-time environmental monitoring.
TIME TABLE FOR THE WHOLE DAY
5:30 —– Night Mode turns off and the system becomes active
6:00 —– Display default screen brightness and the lights turn on with an effect of sunrise.
6:25 —– Turn the ventilator on for 30 min.
7:00 —– 1st misting period for 30 sec.
11:25 —– Turn the ventilator on for 30 min.
12:00 —– 2nd misting period for 30 sec.
17:25 —– Turn the ventilator on for 30 min.
18:00 —– 3rd misting period for 30 sec.
21:00 —– The sunset starts and the screen brightness is reduced.
21:30 —– The lights turn off.
11:00 —– Night mode starts, turning off all noise polluters.
LIGHTING
Furthermore there is a separate lighting system that allows remote control of the lighting.

SMARTPHONE CONTROL
For this, WLED is used.
It has more than 100 lighting effect and 16 million colors.
It also includes an option of presetting any effect at any time.

PHILOSOPHY
It is made, with the mind of effortless enjoyment, the facts that you can enjoy the forest inside the your home, and that everything is like in the real world.
When you go outside, every tree waters itself, it needs no encouragement, every animal feeds itself, every new leaf pushes itself out of the branch.
The ground has microscopic life and is in perfect balance, in a dance with every part of It’s surroundings.
And you see that in your home that, what you have is coherent with real life, that has been alive since it all begane.
That is why I love enclosed ecosystems.
